Proof of Qualifications for Instructional Personnel

(In accordance with Section 1002.421(1)(h), F.S.)

Each instructional staff member must provide documentation demonstrating that they meet at least one of the following qualifications:

 

Acceptable Qualifications:

☐ Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
Copy of diploma or official transcript in any subject area.

☐ Teaching Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience. Documentation required: Written verification of employment from previous employer(s).

☐ Specialized Skills or Expertise
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualify the individual to provide instruction in K–12 subjects. Documentation may include: Certifications, Professional development records, or Curriculum or instructional training.

 

Note: Pre-K experience and certifications do not meet this requirement.

In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), a student with a disability who is parentally placed in a private school does not have an individual entitlement to receive the same special education and related services that would be provided if the student were enrolled in a public school.
